Terms of Service

Last updated: June 1, 2026

1. Acceptance

By using the Synlake API or website, you agree to these terms. If you are using Synlake on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. The Service

Synlake provides a data infrastructure API that normalizes cloud provider data (AWS, Azure, GCP), generates execution kits (Terraform HCL, CLI commands), and estimates costs. Synlake does not directly provision or manage cloud resources on your behalf.

3. API Keys & Access

You are responsible for securing your API key. Do not share keys publicly. Synlake reserves the right to revoke keys that are used in violation of these terms or to abuse the service.

4. Free Tier & Billing

The free tier includes 100 API calls per month. Beyond the free tier, usage is billed per API call at the rates published on our pricing page. You may set spending caps to limit monthly charges. Payments are processed by Stripe.

5. Acceptable Use

You may not use Synlake to: (a) violate any law, (b) attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the API data, (c) exceed rate limits through automated circumvention, or (d) submit malicious or abusive requests.

6. Data & Accuracy

Synlake normalizes publicly available cloud pricing and instance data. While we strive for accuracy, pricing and availability may change without notice. Synlake is not liable for discrepancies between estimated and actual cloud costs. Always verify before executing infrastructure changes in production.

7. Limitation of Liability

Synlake is provided "as is" without warranty. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Synlake LLC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

Either party may terminate at any time. You may delete your account by emailing hello@synlake.ai. Synlake may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States.
